Join Us in Supporting Transgender Parents, Children and Families
Across the nation, anti-transgender policies and legislation are on the rise, adding barriers and threats to the transgender community. At the National Center to Advance Peace, we’re committed to a vision where all families have the resources and support they need to thrive.
For Transgender Awareness Week, we’re lifting up the stories and strength of transgender parents, children, and families in our communities. This week, we’re also releasing our latest report, ‘Advancing Equity for LGBTQ2S+ Families at the Intersections of Domestic Violence, Child Welfare, and Child Custody Systems,’ created with the National LGBTQ Institute on Intimate Partner Violence.
Our goal is to bring visibility to the inequities impacting LGBTQ2S+ families, especially the increased risks faced by transgender parents and children affected by domestic violence, and uplift ways we can work towards a safer and more inclusive future for all families.
