It’s recommended—but not required—to try resolving your concern with a supervisor first. After that, you can file a grievance. Once received, your grievance is assigned a case number and OCA will reach out to you. See the Q&A below for more detailed information.

Preparation
Are there any steps that must be taken prior to filing a grievance?

You are encouraged to address and resolve concerns with the local supervisory staff before filing, however, it is not required that you do so.

Submission
How and where to file the grievance?

Submit your complaint to the Office of Client Advocacy (OCA) grievance unit at oca.grievances@okdhs.org, by phone 1-800-522-8014 or by paper form.

For additional assistance, you can also call the Director's Helpline: (405) 521-2779 or 1-877-751-2972.

Follow Up
What to expect after filing and how to track the progress of your grievance?

Within a short period of receipt of the grievance, OCA staff assigns a grievance number, sends it to the assigned employee, and contacts the grievant.
