You can also get help from the DCF Office of Community Relations for issues with DCF staff or foster parents. After reviewing your complaint, the Ombudsman’s office will contact you to talk through a solution. No prior steps need to be taken, you can file your complaint immediately with the Ombudsman's office.

Contact the Ombudsman's office by phone, fax, email, or mail to file your complaint (see contact information in correspondinf column).

You can also contact the DCF Office of Community Relations for assistance in resolving a dispute with DCF staff, providers, or foster parents.

What to expect after filing and how to track the progress of your grievance?

Once a response is received, accepted, and reviewed, the Ombudsman’s office will make contact with the individual who brought the inquiry or complaint to its attention and discuss the resolution. No specific timeframe is provided for receiving a resolution.
